With seamless synergy lighting up Gusaling Emilio Ejercito (GEE), the College of Education (CED) Titans seize control by capturing the mixed doubles table tennis championship in a thrilling showdown against the College of Information Systems and Technology Management (CISTM) Pythons, last November 6.

Teaming up for an intense battle, Amberleigh Israelyn Manrique and Allen Daniel Funa of the CED Titans faced off against Klarc Cubacub and Rysa Arianne Igcasenza of the CISTM Pythons in a best-of-three match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats.

The Titans came in strong in the first game, dictating rallies and seizing momentum as they traded blows with the Pythons through tightly contested frames, cruising through the five-set duel with scores of 11–8, 10–12, 11–8, 8–11, and 11–7, capping the suspenseful match.

The second game showcased an even more dominant side of the Titans as they stormed to a 3-1 triumph to clinch the championship.

Titans delivered a stunning, complete 11–0 shutout, overwhelming the Pythons with flawless combination plays that left no room to breathe.

Momentum swung wildly as the Pythons fought back, stealing the set 11–6 after tightening their serves and catching the Titans off-guard.

Undeterred by the setback, the Titans rebounded with an 11–7 win, regaining momentum through crisp service returns and perfectly timed smashes.

With victory in sight, CED Titans sealed the match 11–6, applying relentless pressure and showcasing seamless chemistry, sealing the championship with authority.

“Pagod hindi naman mawawala, pero ramdam ko ‘yung fulfillment,” shared Manrique. “Ako personally, super fulfilling ito kasi dinamdam ko ‘yung second finish ko last year, and ngayon nabawi ko na rin sarili ko. Parang personal fulfillment siya para sa akin.” Funa added.

Despite the long hours, the Titans still delivered a composed and powerful performance, sealing a hard-earned and well-deserved mixed doubles title.
