Aurora Gaming Philippines secured the country’s sixth consecutive world title, dominating with a 4-0 victory against Indonesia in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M7 World Championship held in Jakarta, Indonesia, last Jan. 25.

The Northern Lights blanked home bet, Alter Ego, with a 4-0 victory over seven rounds. They made their way up to the top by facing teams from other countries, including their comrade Team Liquid PH, as well as other hard-hitting opponents, such as Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants (SRG).

The champions carried their momentum into the grand finals, taking game 1 with precise map rotations and decisive team fights that put Alter Ego at a disadvantage.

Entering game 2, Aurora extended their dominance by converting their early domination into a clean victory, carrying over the energy into game 3, wherein the team propelled itself into match point before the 11-minute mark.

Game 4 became a do-or-die round for Alter Ego, with attempts to turn the tables being unsuccessful as the chemistry of Aurora secured a decisive sweep, capping off a historic championship run and cementing their supremacy on the world stage. Anchoring the Northern Lights’ victory was Dylan "Light" Catipon, whose exceptional performance and consistency throughout the grand finals earned him the MVP title. The title also came with a prize, as Aurora will take home an amount of USD 320,000, a recognition for their dominance throughout the battle in the land of dawn.
