PLM TCS lands 2nd runner-up in PACSiklaban 2026

Students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila - The Chemical Society (PLM TCS) won as the 2nd runner up among 12 universities in PACSiklaban 2026 held in Dr Robert C. Sy Grand Ballroom at the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Mar. 8.

PLM Team A, the only representative of the university, led by Team Captain Johnree Omar Delos Santos, got a total of nine correct answers during the final round. Other members were Vince Tabao, Angello Louise Salvador, Gabriel John Manalo, Daniel Troi Veridiano, Jhoana Grace Andres, and Princess Joshielle Alejo.

During preparation, the team was coached by Prof. Anilyn Falcatan, Prof. Camille Abendanio, and Prof. Roderick de Luna.

Ateneo de Manila Team A emerged as the champion while De Lasalle Team B placed as 1st runner up out of 19 competing teams. 

This achievement marks PLM’s first podium finish in PACSiklaban history after last year’s 6th-place standing.

PACSiklaban tests the student's knowledge on various fields of Chemistry, such as Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry.

National Chemistry Students' Congress: PACSiklaban 2026 is a nationwide inter-collegiate quiz bee organized by the Philippine Association of Chemistry Students (PACS).
