The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila-Student Commission on Audit (PLM-SCOA) recognized 9 student councils and organizations, 10 finance officers, and a university personnel for excellence in financial accountability during Ignis Aureus, the commission’s culminating recognition program for the Academic Year 2025–2026 audit season, June 16.
The Vice President for Research, Academic, and Extension Services Dr. Dan Michael A. Cortez, DIT, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of accountability and transparency in student leadership.
Recipients of the Commendable Councils and Organizations recognition were selected through endorsements from their assigned SCOA auditors and deliberation by a committee. Among the key criteria for the award was the receipt of an unqualified audit opinion without any notices of non-compliance during the audit period.
Similarly, recipients of the Commendable Finance Officer award underwent endorsement and deliberation processes based on their performance in financial management and compliance. Unlike the organizational category, finance officers from councils and organizations that received qualified audit opinions remained eligible for recognition based on their individual performance.
Recognized as Commendable Councils and Organizations were the College of Business Administration Student Council (CBA-SC), Brotherhood of Medical Scholars (BMS), College of Accountancy Student Council (CA-SC), PLM Association of Civil Engineering Students (PLM ACES), College of Information Systems and Technology Management Student Council (CISTM-SC), PLM Pre-Law Society (PLM PLSOC), College of Architecture and Sustainable Built Environments Student Council (CASBE-SC), Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants–PLM (JPIA-PLM), and PLM Mathematical Society (PLM-MathSoc).
