PLM COMELEC formally proclaims elected officers for A.Y. 2025–2026

The PLM Student Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officially proclaimed the newly elected student officers for the Academic Year 2025–2026 during a formal ceremony held at the Bukod Tanging Bulwagan, May 2. The proclamation marked the culmination of the university-wide student elections, after a record-breaking 56.07% voter turnout and was attended by the elected student leaders and select faculty members. PLM COMELEC’s Executive Assistant Secretary Ms. Aaliyah Reigne Lalu congratulated all the leaders and reiterated the student trust that comes with their position. She described it to be a start of a bigger responsibility, in hopes that their upcoming terms will be marked with strength, unity, fairness and compassion. “Remember you are not just here to fulfill your campaign promises, you are here to build a culture. The kind that builds people up, not tear them down. The kind that empowers not intimidates, a kind that listens not silences,” Lalu said. PLM COMELEC also extended its appreciation to all candidates, poll watchers, and volunteers who ensured a meaningful election. The new set of officers will hold their Oath Taking Ceremony on May 30 at the Bukod Tanging Bulwagan and will officially take office at the start of the next academic year.
