Panday Sining PLM held a mural-making event on the campus Freedom Wall in commemoration of Bonifacio Day, dated Nov. 29 - 30.

The national democratic mass organization conducted the mural painting in celebration of the late hero's fight against imperialism. This initiative aims to rally the youth's participation in resisting the current indirect imperialism from the US and China.

The accessibility of the mural on the university's Freedom Wall amplified the calls of Panday Sining PLM to overthrow imperialism and increase the awareness of the broad masses on its manifestation in the country, Secretary General of Panday Sining National Ariana P. Villamor said.

The two-day creation of the mural underscored the youth’s role, specifically students, in serving the broad masses to bring about social change.

"Bilang Panday Sining, ang layunin namin ay baguhin 'yung namumutawing kultura sa Pilipinas which is colonial, feudal, and bourgeoisie [...] dapat sinusulong natin 'yung kulturang national, scientific, at mass-oriented culture,” Villamor further emphasized, adding that the mural was used politically to emphasize the cultural involvement of arts in socio-political matters.

Earlier, the organization also took part in the multi-sectoral mob along with Panday Sining National and other labor groups at Kalaw Avenue to commemorate Bonifacio Day and to raise their calls on sociopolitical and labor issues.
