Newly-appointed Supreme Student Council (SSC) President Jahna Par called for accountability and transparency in a recently released statement on her official Facebook account, June 18.

Par, who also served as Chief of Staff of the outgoing term, said that she is also demanding answers since Departmental Council Officers did not have full access to all information, especially when it comes to sensitive and confidential financial matters.

She also clarified her involvement in the PLM Christmas Station ID, stating that although she led the project, it ultimately did not push through due to time constraints.

Par also added that soon afterwards, they submitted all necessary documents, including liquidation reports, and coordinated with concerned offices to create a reimbursement plan so that the expenses would not burden the council's funds.

Meanwhile, Par acknowledged the difficulty of speaking against the former administration which she has been a part of, but stressed that student trust and the proper use of student funds are more important.
