Graduates of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and Universidad de Manila (UDM) will soon receive “incentives” after Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan has announced that she would ask the City Council to draft an ordinance, Aug.7.
The announcement was made during the commencement exercises of UDM, stating that it will be a “graduation gift” for all graduates and an inspiration to what she called “Mga Iskolar ng Maynila” to finish their studies.
Other cities have already started giving incentives to their graduates, such as Valenzuela City, which grants P1,500–P2,500 to their scholars, and Pasig City, with a generous amount of P20,000–P30,000.
