Manila International Research Conference (MIRC) 2026 commenced at the Justo Alberto Auditorium (JAA), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), Sept. 29.

With the theme “Shaping Resilient Futures: AI, Sustainability and Inclusive Innovation,” University President Atty. Domingo “Sonny” Y. Reyes Jr. began the conference with an inspirational message, highlighting the role of research in an evolving world.

“Education now, globally, is evolving rapidly, driven by the needs of time. We have no option but to move forward, and continue with the mission of education despite and amidst of disruptions, destructions, and uncertainty,” he said.

The morning session featured two plenary sessions led by Dr. Hsiao-Yeh Chu of Kun Shan University in Taiwan and Ms. Daniella Lagman-Eugenio of CE-Logic Incorporated.

This was followed by simultaneous parallel sessions across multiple venues in PLM, featuring keynote speakers and presentations from students and researchers from visiting universities.
