Fun run, Wish Bus bring energy to Day 3 of PLM’s 60th founding anniv despite rain

Heavy rain did not stop the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) from celebrating the third day of its 60th founding anniversary with jam-packed events and activities held across the university grounds, June 18.

The day kicked off with an energetic fun run held throughout the grounds of Intramuros, joined by students, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff. Following the run was the awarding ceremony for the participants of the said event. 

Adding a competitive edge to the event were the mixed volleyball games engaged by different colleges which were prevailed by the College of Engineering by defeating the College of Information System and Technology Management.

Furthermore, in support of employee well-being, PLM provided wellness services for its employees. The university partnered with the Philippine Cancer Society, Manila Manpower Development Center, and Mega Gloryoung International to provide free haircuts, massages, nail care, eye checkups, and breast screenings.

Capping off the day three of the PLM 60th Founding Anniversary was the much-anticipated arrival of the Wish Bus. The students, faculty, and staff witnessed the electrifying performances of alt-pop band Madeline, P-pop group G22, and singer-songwriter Janine Teñoso.
