The bereaved family of a Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Education (CED) student who recently died in Sampaloc, Manila, on Aug. 14, is appealing to the public to refrain from spreading false information about her death as they continue to mourn their loss.
In an interview with the publication, Lester Quinol, the eldest brother of Alexandra “Alex” Quinol, said the family continues to struggle with her loss.
He also mentioned that posts containing information the family considers false have caused them further pain.
Napakarami niyang pangarap sa buhay,” he stressed.
He urged the public to respect his sister’s memory, remembering her as a kind person who was easy to love.
Lester also stated that the family has not yet raised enough money to bring Alex’s remains from Manila to their home in Atimonan, Quezon Province.
The family needs to settle its funeral home expenses by the afternoon of Aug. 17, he added. Alex’s remains have been at a morgue in Manila for three nights, prompting the family to seek additional financial assistance.
The family is calling for financial assistance of any amount to help cover the expenses of bringing Alex’s remains home.
