AP reps win big at JournCamp+: National Campus Press Summit 2025

Eight student journalists from Ang Pamantasan (AP), the official publication of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), won multiple awards at the recently concluded JournCamp+: National Campus Press Summit 2025, Dec. 13.
For the individual categories, Vincel Farma clinched 1st place for News Writing in Filipino, while Khairia Gabrielle L. Macapundag claimed the 2nd place for SciTech Writing in English.
Securing the 4th place were Francis Irvin G. Gonzales for Column Writing in Filipino, and Rob Carlo V. Elle for Feature Writing in English.
Jian Karl R. Muyano and Kate Mariel P. Gilbero won the 7th place in English Editorial Writing and 2nd place in Filipino Editorial Writing, respectively.
Additionally, PLM emerged as champions in the group category for Online Publishing in Filipino with Humprey Dhave M. Montaniel and Shaquel C. Agumbay among other College of Humanities Arts and Social Science (CHASS) students representing the group.
The JournCamp+: National Campus Press Summit is a nationwide virtual press conference held from November 17 to 20, garnering campus journalists from elementary to tertiary level to compete in different categories. This competition launched by Explained PH serves as an expansion for their annual journalism camps initiative.
