Ang Pamantasan, COMELEC sign MOU for fair, clean, and transparent PLM Elections

The PLM Student Commission on Election (COMELEC) and Ang Pamantasan (AP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in line with their partnership for the conduct of the PLM Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council (CSC) Elections 2024 and its related electoral activities, May 13.

Aiming to strengthen voter education and empowerment, the MOU formalized the partnership between the two independent and non-partisan organizations.

“The COMELEC and AP recognizes the importance of fair, clean, transparent student elections in the university, and recognize the role of the media in informing the public and promoting good governance,” the two organizations stated in MOU. 

Present at the signing were Stefanie Ann M. Santilla, Managing Editor; and Jeanette B. Tropa, Board Secretary of Ang Pamantasan. COMELEC was represented by Zion C. Malibunas, Chairperson; and Rafael George F. Fornoles, Operations Officer.

As part of this partnership, AP will provide special coverage and publish articles related to the election, provide a platform for COMELEC's conferences and announcements, and contribute questions for the Harapan 2024: Elections Debate.
