Pres. Sonny graces 2nd year of Fiesta de Intramuros

PLM President Atty. Domingo "Sonny" Reyes Jr. attended the opening of the second year of Fiesta de Intramuros, which also marked the 25th Silver Jubilee of the Pontifical Coronation of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación y Correa held in Intramuros on Thursday, Sept. 4.

The anniversary rites were held at Plaza Roma, fronting the Manila Cathedral, and was presided over by the Most Reverend Charles John Brown, D.D., Apostolic Nuncio. The crowns presented by the Hermana Mayor de Honor, Mrs. Divinagracia Maramba.

The homily for the Order of Crowning of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary was delivered by the Most Reverend Francisco M. de Leon, D.D., Bishop-Emeritus of the Diocese of Antipolo.

Following this, a procession of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, borne on her carroza, made its way to San Agustin Church, where a solemn mass was celebrated.

The PLM Chorale took part in a combined choir, performing alongside singers from other participating schools during the Mass.

Fiesta de Intramuros 2025 will continue with a University-wide Novena Mass on September 9, the Fiesta de Banda y Calesas on September 13, and will conclude on September 14 with the Solemn Feast Day Mass and a grand procession featuring Our Lady of Consolación and the Augustinian Saints.

Bazaars, cultural shows, free film screenings, and a p-pop concert are also to be featured as part of the celebration.
