Malacañang declares April 10 as Eid’l Fitr Holiday

In order to bring religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, Malacañang declared April 10 as a regular holiday throughout the country under the Proclamation No. 514 s. 2024, Apr 4. 

Based on the recommendation from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), this proclamation aims to honor the Islamic holiday for Eid'l Fitr to promote unity and understanding among all FIlipinos. 

Eid’l Fitr, also known as the Feast of Ramadan, is a celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting, prayer and reflection for Muslims.
